Business To Business

RTI provides various services such as custom packaging for dry and liquid goods, product formulating, organic and conventional material blending, and greenhouse/laboratory research. As the largest producer of both granular and liquid mycorrhizal inoculants, as well as other biologicals and plant nutrients, we have the capacity to supply small to medium-sized companies, including large-scale agricultural production and restoration projects.

Symbios Bio-Fertility Amendments

Reforestation Technologies is the largest and oldest provider of premium mycorrhizal inoculants in the country.  Quality and consistency are the key values that have helped the company move to the forefront as a supplier and formulator of arbuscular mycorrhizal inoculants. Along with the production of mycorrhizae, RTI has made developed a wide variety of Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria. The microbes cultured by RTI are all hand-picked for their specific ability to contribute to plant and soil success,

Our business has been built by supplying biology to some of the toughest mining reclamation and habitat restoration sites on the continent. Our track record speaks for itself as several of the very first customers that started with us in the mid-’90s are still with us. We pride ourselves on the quality and consistency of our products. We invite any interested commercial parties to visit our facilities to better understand how we can exceed the highest standards of commercial Inoculant production.

Greenhouse & Laboratory Research

RTI’s research focus is on beneficial microbial and bio-stimulant products, their performance by crop, and any interactions (both positively and negatively) that may occur.  The company operates a 3,500 sq. ft. state-of-the-art greenhouse as well as 7,000 sq. ft. of fabric-covered open sites for outdoor trials. Our greenhouse and laboratory facilities provide a unique opportunity to offer a range of research and analytical services to companies wishing to examine crop and soil biological assessments.  The climate of Gilroy, Ca is moderated by its close proximity to the Pacific Ocean which is about 20 miles. The proximity keeps the daytime temperature in the 70°F / 23°C range for most of the year, dipping in the winter to nighttime lows near freezing and midsummer days to the low 90s°F / +32°C.  An abundance of non-chlorinated water is available from a well on the property that delivers a premium quality source for both drinking and irrigation needs.  Filtered reverse osmosis water is also available for certain types of evaluation.

Proof of Purity and Origin

Each species of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi were acquired from two of the internationally recognized sources of pure mycorrhizal germplasm, INVAM (invam.wvu.edu), operated by the University of West Virginia, and GINCO (mycorrhiza.be/ginco.bel/), jointly operated by the governments of Canada and Belgium.

Quality Control Lab

Each batch of RTI’s biologicals is individually tested to assure that the product meets standards for infectivity potential (number of propagules), cleanliness and viability.

RTI is the only producer of mycorrhizal inoculants in America that sets and meets these rigorous standards.

Independent Laboratory Analysis Reports

Spore and propagule counts are tested internally to assure that all inoculum meets the infectivity potential claimed on the label. A third-party laboratory analysis is also used by RTI to verify standards.
